Sustainable stay in Middelburg

At Kloeg Collection, we do everything we can to make your stay as sustainable as possible. For Hotel St. Joris, too, we are therefore going for the Golden Green Key certificate. Below, we list a number of things we do to guarantee a sustainable stay. Not only good for the environment, but also for your experience as a guest in our hotel.

Sustainable showering

Besides using water-saving taps in the hotel, we also go sustainable with shower products! This is because we use large bottles, which means we waste a lot less product and also use less packaging. After all, that makes showering a lot nicer.

Breakfast

A good breakfast is a good start to the day. And if that breakfast is also sustainable, all the more so! On our breakfast buffet, we use bulk packaging rather than small, individually packaged food. This way, we use as little plastic as possible and throw away as little as possible. And what we throw away is, of course, separated.

Organic drinks and wines

Feeling snacky or fancy a drink? In the Honesty Bar, you will find all kinds of goodies. For example, we have a number of local and organic drinks and all the wines in the Honesty Bar are organic!

Accessibility by train, bus and public transport bicycle

Hotel St. Joris is a city hotel and therefore very well served by public transport! The NS railway station Middelburg is about 10 minutes' walk from the hotel. Here you can also hire a public transport bike (OV-Fiets). In the NS app, you can easily check in advance how many bikes are available at the station. The Bierkaai bus stop is also a 6-minute walk from the hotel.

Are you travelling with an electric vehicle? Then make use of our V.I.P parking with charging stations. There are also several charging points in Middelburg where you can charge your vehicle.
