Serooskerke

A hidden treasure

Serooskerke is a typical Walchers village where its origins begin in the 12th century. Got in 1966 the village fame because a treasure of a thousand gold coins were found. The proceeds were used for the Serooskerke swimming pool "De Goudvijver".

Characteristic of the village is the Johannes church that protrudes above the village and the "De Jonge Johannes" windmill. The corn mill dates from 1835 and is nowadays used as a restaurant and play paradise. The village is a quiet place to completely unwind and offers various camping places.
